FALL RIVER, MA (December 13, 2018) – ACTION Innovation Network (ACTION) has been awarded a Regional Innovation Strategies i6 grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) to support The Plymouth Rock Project: A Program to Introduce and Land High-Growth, Innovation-Driven International Startups in New England’s Technology Innovation Ecosystem Through the ACTION Innovation Network.

The Plymouth Rock Project’s purpose is to identify, attract, land in incubators, and grow international high-growth, innovation-based technology startup companies in key sectors (life sciences, cleantech, robotics, water, marine and maritime), looking to establish a US presence. Utilizing the strength and connections within ACTION’s innovation ecosystem will ensure foreign direct investment opportunities are maximized by accelerating company investment and commercialization, providing the potential for sustained job growth in the region.

BOSTON, MA (November 9, 2018) – The 2018 Boston Immersion Program, a program co-organized by Richi Entrepreneurs and ACTION Innovation Network, aimed at international startups in the Life Sciences and Cleantech sectors, successfully ended on Friday, November 2nd in Boston. During the program, 14 startups from 6 countries (Israel, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Chile, and Spain) initiated relationships with Boston-based innovation stakeholders (industry experts, investors, service providers, life sciences and cleantech institutions, or incubators and accelerators, among others) through one-on-one meetings. Participants defined their own action plans to market their solutions in the US in the short/mid-term.

Affiliate membership offers connections to the Northeast technology ecosystem through the ACTION network, as well as opportunities for webinars, communications and shared event opportunities. The relationship with Northeastern University will help accelerate regional and international technology innovations by providing a platform to several of Northeastern University’s programs to both incubators and tech entrepreneurs. Company Invests in the Association of Cleantech Incubators of New England (ACTION), to Help Inspire Innovation among the Next Generation of Electronics Designers

Sydney, Australia – 16 October 2014 - Altium Limited, a global leader in Smart System Design Automation, 3D PCB design (Altium Designer) and embedded software development (TASKING), today announced that it has signed on as a three year sponsor of the Association of Cleantech Incubators of New England (ACTION), a leading network of cleantech incubators dedicated to accelerating the success of early-stage companies engaged in the development of clean technology.

Fall River, Mass (August 12, 2014) – The Association of Cleantech Incubators of New England, ACTION, has announced that the law firm of McLane, Graf, Raulerson and Middleton is a new, supporting sponsor. ACTION’s mission is to accelerate the success of early-stage cleantech entrepreneurs supported by its membership of 12 cleantech incubators throughout New England and two international incubators located in the United Kingdom and Italy.  

“Many cleantech startups within ACTION’s member incubators are at the product prototype and early commercialization stage,” said Gillian Isabelle, ACTION’s executive director. “The McLane sponsorship will provide these startups, particularly those in manufacturing, with access to legal advice on intellectual property, patent infringements, strategic partnerships, licensing agreements, and exporting.”

Fall River, MA (September 12, 2013) -- The Association of Cleantech Incubators of New England (ACTION) announced today that Dr. Gillian Isabelle has joined the organization as Executive Director, effective September 1, 2013. Dr. Isabelle fills a newly created role at ACTION and will assume most of the operational responsibilities of current President, Michael D. Ryan, who will remain an active member on the organization’s Board of Directors. As the founding President of ACTION, Mr. Ryan launched the organization in 2010, and oversaw its growth to become a primary resource for cleantech incubators and entrepreneurs in the New England region, providing access to resources, educational programs and connections to the regional cleantech ecosystem.
