As part of the event, ACTION is hosting a Showcase at their member incubator Greentown Labs in Boston’s Innovation District. Greentown Labs is opening its doors as one of the stops on the self-guided Innovation Tour. Incubator members and their client companies are invited to display materials or working prototypes for visibility to all on the tour.

Unlike traditional events, there will be no panels and keynote addresses. The event is focused on connecting people in intimate settings:

• Major Energy Consumers, Utilities, Leading Cleantech Companies, and other companies looking to form partnerships will meet providers of innovative clean energy services, products, and technologies.
• Investors will meet over 50 companies from more than 10 countries, hear from emerging clean energy companies, and talk with major energy users about their needs for clean energy technologies.
• Emerging Clean Energy Companies will talk with potential investors, strategic partners, and customers.

Participants will experience innovation with:

• Planned and unplanned meetings: There will be a large area dedicated to 1:1 or small-group meetings. Prior to and during the meeting, you can use state-of-the-art conference software to set up meetings with other participants and presenters.
• Brief, inspirational and informative talks: Get inspired! Hear from a range of speakers—rising and emerging stars of the cleantech world from across the region and nearly a dozen different countries. These presentations include short talks from major energy users, entrepreneurs, and strategic partners.
• Innovation Tour: From Kendall Square to the Seaport Innovation District, Boston and Cambridge have dozens of cool companies and organizations that want to invite you to visit. Spend the day on October 18 visiting open houses at these incredible institutions and get some exercise too! (Participants include: EnerNOC, Greentown Labs, Harvard Innovation Lab, Cambridge Innovation Center, MIT Media Lab, Fraunhofer USA, MassChallenge, British Consulate-General, and the Venture Café.)
• Field Guide to the Cleantech Ecosystem: Navigate regional resources with your in depth guide to all the great organizations that are working to strengthen our ecosystem. We’ll include their descriptions to help you meet the right folks.
