ACTION Innovation Network is pleased to announce that it has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Altium, LLC, a global leader in 3D PCB design software for designers and engineers. Altium Designer is a PCB and electronic design automation software package for printed circuit boards. Altium will provide the ACTION community with access to up to twenty, continental On-demand Altium Designer software license subscriptions, with an in-kind value of $300,000.

Boston is the host city for the International Business Innovation Association's (InBIA) annual conference this spring. With members all over the country and world, InBIA is the professional gathering point and resource for people who support entrepreneurship and new business creation, including managers and staff of business incubators, accelerators, co-working spaces, university entrepreneurship centers and more. The 34th International Conference on Business Incubation (ICBI34) will bring together more than 500 people in this field to discuss latest trends, share best practices and effective strategies, and connect with others who are doing similar work. Featuring nearly 40 breakout sessions, three plenary panels, and three inspiring keynote speakers as well as networking activities and other events, ICBI34 promises to be packed with opportunities for anyone interested in entrepreneurial support to learn, grow and connect.

ACTION Innovation Network and North Shore InnoVentures (NSIV) welcomed Cleantech Scandinavia and Innovation Quarter in a joint cleantech mission to Boston, with a focus on Smart City, Energy Systems and Advanced Building Materials. The delegation included approximately 30 people, including 12 promising startups from the Nordics and Netherlands that have an interest in expanding their companies to the US, and others from government, economic development and investors. On ACTION and NSIV presented an overview of the greater Boston Innovation Ecosystem and Incubator Network, followed by networking.

On September 18th, at the Cleantech Showcase in Boston, the cleantech startups presented their companies to investors and industry representatives at a "Meet-the-Buyer" event, including ACTION's partner, visiting global energy company Repsol, at Greentown Labs. The delegation had a packed agenda, including a Smart City workshop and many site visits, followed by attendance at the Horizon 19 conference on September 19-20 in Boston.

Horizon19 is a global event-driven platform that harnesses the international movement towards a clean economy. With 20,000 unique and growing contacts in the climate change space stemming from the inaugural event, the momentum to act on clean energy solutions is rapidly accelerating. Horizon19 is the platform to uniquely offer resolutions to act on climate commitments in concert with the Paris Agreement, 2030 Sustainability Goals, We Are Still In, and America's Pledge.
