You’ve got a great idea and a big vision for your startup. You want to make a difference in the world by commercializing your clean technology.

Now all you need are the resources to enable you to make your success a reality!  The ACTION incubators, including host Greentown Labs, and the Cleantech Open are all wonderful sources of support, mentoring, and networking (and prize money!) for you. But first you need to convince them you are good enough to get in! The same goes when you’re out fundraising, whether from VCs and angels or from government or foundation grants. Not to mention when you are trying to convince someone to be your customer.

Your most valuable tool for getting resources - financial, services and people - is a compelling investor pitch. In fact, what you really need is… Perfect Pitch!

You don't need to pitch perfectly. As a startup entrepreneur, you don't have the kind of time needed to even try to achieve perfection.

But you can tune your pitch for the ears of your audience in a way that will get them engaged and excited about the opportunity to invest in you and your company.

And doesn't that sound like music to your ears?

Please join us for the “Perfect Pitch” Workshop on April 24. The workshop is designed to help you tune your words for the ears of your audience so that they will understand that your value proposition is the foundation for a successful business.

By the end of the workshop, you will have refined your elevator pitch and the script for your compelling 10-minute pitch. And you will learn:
·         1 simple mindset change that will change how investors perceive you;
·         3 mistakes that even experienced entrepreneurs make when pitching;
·         5 kinds of pitches every entrepreneur should have at the ready at all times; and
·         10 Questions that ever pitch should answer – no matter whom you are pitching to!

The workshop is highly interactive, providing you with many opportunities to practice your elevator pitch and create slides that appeal to investors.

Bonus: At the end of the day, one entrepreneur will have the opportunity to deliver their 10-minute pitch and receive an hour of live coaching in front of the audience (valued at $500!).

Take advantage of this workshop being offered for $57/participant to ACTION members and stakeholders, a significant discount from the full fee of $147!

This workshop is well timed if you’re polishing your pitch for the Cleantech Open!

Linda founded Plano & Simple based on her experiences at the Massachusetts Technology Transfer Center (MTTC) where she was officially the Associate Director and unofficially both coach and "yenta" to literally hundreds of Massachusetts entrepreneurs. Her clients have successfully raised over $250M in equity and grant funding. Her training in technology (PhD Materials Science & Engineering, Stanford; BS Physics, MIT) and subsequent management and new business development experience in companies ranging from very early startups to multinational conglomerates coupled with an innate ability to pitch had led to her being the go-to person when it came to presenting new opportunities to board members, customers, investors and others.
Linda has also helped to manage several major annual investor pitch events, including the Conference on Clean Energy and the Early Stage Life Sciences Conference, which featured in total about 200 entrepreneurs.
Her work in entrepreneurship led to awards from the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council, the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge and the Global MIT Enterprise Forum, as well as board seats on the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust, the New England Clean Energy Council and both the local and global MIT Enterprise Forums.
