She also manages a virtual business incubator in the Caribbean, while working to establish an incubator facility in Sustainability and Renewable Energy in Tobago. Ms. Brathwaite’s team has been visiting cleantech incubator facilities across the US and Canada to explore various incubator models that will inform the development of the Tobago incubator facility. Ms. Brathwaite was eager to meet Joe Bush, Executive Director at IES to discuss his plans to transform the current virtual incubator model to a brick-and-mortar facility. She was especially pleased to visit IES’s new location within the Printer’s Building in Worcester, and learn of its history, a former shared space for printing companies in the 1800’s. Later in the day, Ms. Brathwaite visited Greentown Labs for a tour of the co-working and prototyping space and to learn about Greentown’s incubator model. We wish Trinidad and Tobago success in developing its cleantech incubator and are happy to assist (and visit!).
